8 WOMEN,13 MEN ARRESTED OVER ILLEGAL OPENING OF SHOPS IN IBANDA

Police in Ibanda district have arrested 8 women and 13 men for allegedly opening their shops in disregard of the president’s directive.
These people were arrested from Ibanda municipality on Saturday afternoon.
The District Police Commander Emily Angomoko said these people have failed to follow the presidential directives on prevention of Covid-19,
She said that those arrested opening their shops will be taken to courts of laws to answer the charges labelled against them
She added that police will continue raiding more shops and whoever will be found operating secretly will be arrested and taken to courts of law.
