83 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN BUSHENYI SO FAR IN CORONA VIRUS LOCKDOWN—-DPC KOMAKECH

Bushenyi Police have so far arrested 83 people since the presidential directive of locking down all people into their homes and not allowing vehicles from 31st March 2020.
In an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing editor ,the DPC Joel Komakech revealed that among the 83, 27 have been taken to court and convicted then fined 60,000 before they are released to go home.
Komakech added that so far there are only 22 in cells including 6 women who were arrested at night on Friday and Saturday.
DPC Komakech noted that the 22 who are in cells are allowed to be bonded if they get substantial sureties and they come back to renew their bond on Tuesday then be taken to court when the magistrate is available.
Komakech said that they have so far arrested 61 vehicles and 25 motorcycles and some were arrested immediately after the presidential directives but he later instructed the police to give back to the owners.
The DPC warned those selling and consuming alcohol to stop immediately adding that army and Police are patrolling the entire district of Bushenyi thus they should avoid being arrested.
