Albertine North region police is investigating circumstances under which 96 recruit police constables joined Uganda police force after presenting forged academic documents.
It’s alleged that from the 06/08/25 to 11/08/25, Human Resource Management team from police headquarters Kampala were at Kabalye police training school Masindi to verify documents of the newly short listed recruits into the Uganda police force.
During this process, ninety six recruits were found to be with forged academic documents. The 96 recruits were then handed over to the commandant of PTS kabalye who intern handed them to Masindi Police Station for further investigations.
According to police Statements that were recorded from all the 96 suspects (recruits).
All the alleged forged documents were handed over to OC CID for further scrutiny.
All the 96 suspects were handed over to Masindi police station for further management.
It was found out that the suspects deliberately forged their academic documents altering the marks and grading from UNEB as a way of joining Uganda police force.
The suspects went a head to utter the forged academic documents to the recruitment team while knowing the same to have been forged or altered.
The case ref number MSD GEF:46/ 2025 was opened against the suspects.
The Albertine North police commandant ACP Damalie Nachuha confirmed the arrest saying inquiries are still at hand and 96 suspects are in police custody at Masindi CPS .
