KABALE UCC PROCUREMENT OFFFICER ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED DEFILEMENT

IN KABALE
An assistant procurement officer of Uganda College of commerce in
Kabale municipality has been arrested by police in Kabale district over
alleged aggravated defilement.
The suspect has been identified as Ephraim Katwaaza 33 years is accused
of defiling a six year old minor from Child Africa Junior school in
Kabale municipality.
It’s alleged that on 21st November at around 5pm, Katwaaza seduced the
minor with biscuit and took the child to his place of residence in
Kekubo cell, Nyabikoni ward, Central division Kabale municipality
where he defiled her.
The Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate says that the
neighbors who saw the child coming from suspects house crying reported
the matter and police swung in and arrested the suspect last evening.
Maate is calling on parents to teach their children from accepting
gifts from strangers. He is also condemning the acts of defilement
from people who would protect younger children.

When Katwaaza was asked, he admitted to have bought a biscuit to the
child because she had asked for it but denied having an intercourse
with the minor.
The case has been reported to Kabale police station under file number 3243/2016.
