OMUKAMA OF BUNYORO IGURU APPOINTS NEW CABINET

The Omukama of Bunyoro-Kitara kingdom, Dr Solomon Iguru has appointed Andrew Byakutaaga as prime minister and in charge of oil and gas.
In press release issued yesterday, the Omukama also appointed Nyendwoha Mutiti as the first deputy prime minister while Prince Daudi Cwa was appointed Minister for Investment.
Dr Florence Asiimwe has been appointed Minister for Social Services including education and health while Wilson Wairindi is Minister for Production including Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries and Isaac Kalembe as the Omutalindwa (Speaker).
Members of the Orukurato from Bujenje County include: Joanita Karungi from Budongo and Ausi Kamanyi from Bwijanga sub-counties.
From Buruli County include; Rajab Karungi of Miirya, Livingstone Bashiisha from Kimengo and Edward Mugisa from Pakanyi sub-counties.
For Masindi Municipality; Francis Byenkya from Kigulya, Abdullah Serunkuma from Nyangahya , Godfrey Magezi from Central and Hawa Kabyanga from Karujubu Divisions. Rogers Rwampwani, Lillian Bako and Davidson Madira are for Masindi municipality.
The Bunyoro Kitara kingdom land board is chaired by Ronald Mwesigwa while Olive Kiiza is secretary.
Iguru disbanded the old cabinet at the beginning of last year and up to now he had never re- instated a new one.
