LEADERS ASKED TO MOBILIZE PEOPLE FOR GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS

The Kabarole deputy resident district commissioner Festus Bandeeba has asked all the district leaders to mobilize people so that they can benefit from government programs saying that such programs are meant for people.
Bandeeba said this while speaking at the launch for the construction of Shs 24.9 million Kasenyi bridge in west division Fort Portal municipality on Friday
He said that its unfortunate to find people in the district dont know government programs because leaders have failed to mobilize them.
He said all government programs belongs to people and its the responsibility of the local leaders to mobilize them and own the programs if they are to be successfully implemented asking the public to work hard and increase house hold income.
The Kasenyi Bridge will be connecting Nyabukara and Bulyanyenje words and is expected to be complete before the end of December to allow people continue transporting their produce to Fort Portal town.
The Fort portal municipality Mayor Rev Kintu Willy Muhanga asked the residents in the area to embrace the construction works of Kasenyi Bridge saying that bridge belongs to them.
