NDORWA EAST MP ADVISES PARENTS TO VALUE CHILDREN’S EDUCATION

Member of Parliament, Wilfred Niwagaba has advised
parents to take their children’s education seriously, if they
are to
build a better future for them.
Niwagaba made the call on Sunday 26th may2019 at Emmanuel Church of Uganda Buhara in Buhara sub county Kabale district when he was giving his speech as the guest of honor during a fundraising service for the construction of a new class block at Kijonjo primary school.
He said that there is no development without education and advised parents to give priority to their children’s education which he said will determine their future other than wasting time on activities that may ruin their life.
Speaking to the Kabale District Chairperson Patrick Besigye Keihwa, he said that he was disappointed when he visited the school and found that its structures were in poor state and asked parents to work hard to improve the education standards in their areas.
Preaching during the
service, also the parish priest of Kabahesi Church of Uganda Rev. Robert Magezi
decried parents’ irresponsibility, saying
that most parents spend time on drinking alcohol, but do not
want to work and provide school
fees for their children.
Niwagaba contributed 5 million, Keihwa contributed three million while
the Kabale District woman Member of Parliament, Catherine Ndamira Atwakiire, contributed one million and a total of 17.9 million
shillings in cash and pledges was raised at a fundraising.
