WEST ANKOLE DIOCESE: WHY DID BISHOP JOHNSON FIRE HIS DIOCESAN SECRETARY, REV. ARTHUR?

Last evening the west Ankole Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni made only two transfers of staff based at the headquarters of the diocese Bweranyangi.
Rev. Can. Aurther Atwiine was greatly affected in the transfer whereby he decided to go for further studies because that was the only option.
Rev. Atwiine’s exit from Bweranyangi was highly expected of recent because of the murder case that was committed by his wife Justine Atwiine early this year.
Ms. Justine Atwiine was a mother’s union worker at Katungu Mother’s union centre which is under West Ankole diocese.
She was remanded at Nyamushekyera government prison for allegedly murdering the wife of his brother.
Another reason that could have caused the sacking of Rev. Arther Atwiine was that he was the Diocesan secretary during Bishop Katoneene’s time.
When Bishop Johnson took over in 2017, he started searching for the replacement of Rev. Can Atwiine and as he was still searching for replacement, then his wife’s murder case emerged and hence the last evening’s sacking of the man of God.
Rev. Atwiine, according to the statements by Bishop Johnson and Mr. Zadock Amanyisa the communications officer, he was replaced by Rev. Didas Natweta from Ankole Western University.
Another person who was replaced is Wallen Kamusiime the former Curate of All Saints Greater Bushenyi Church. He was replaced by Rev. Abel Murangira. Rev. Kamusiime is on suspension following his wife’s delivery of the baby after 5months of their wedding. www.mknewslink.com reported this story.
