LATE AMBASSADOR BITAHWA TO BE NOMINATED CHAMPION BY MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT

The minister of state for environment Maria Gorrette Kitutu has revealed that the late ambassador Samson Nyine Bitahwa will be nominated as an environmental champion since they are in a process of nominating environmental champions.
Minister Kitutu was amazed by special medicinal tree species that were planted by the ambassador at Rukararwe in Bushenyi town before he died.
She said this yesterday during memorial service of Samson Nyine Bitahwa at Rukararwe partnership workshop for rural development in Nyakabirizi division Bushenyi Ishaka municipality.
Minister Kitutu represented president of republic of Uganda Yoweri Museveni and the president donated 50 million, paid 30m in cash.
The minister gave the centre 50,000 tree species to give to their partners to plant.
Dignitaries who attended the function include Ruhinda county p kahinda dononzio, Gordon Arinda Cowboy, Minister for general duties in the office of the Prime Minister Mary Karooro, bishops; the retired Yona Katonene and Johnson Twinomujuni.
