WORK HARD FOR THE ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT–DISTRICT KHADHI

The Muslim Community has been urged to work hard and develop their areas in order to match the development trends by other religions.
The call was made yesterday Sept. 22nd 2019, by Rukungiri / Kanungu District Khadhi Hajji Abudhalla Mpabuka while speaking at the swearing in ceremony of Rujumbura County Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) Executive Committee for the year 2019 -2023.
The colorful ceremony took place at Ruruku Mosque in Western division Rukungiri Municipality and was attended by representatives from Mosques making the Rujumbura county Twale.
Hajji Mpabuka said that leadership is a call from Allah (God) and once one is put in position of responsibility, he must ensure that he fulfills it.
Hajji Mpabuka urged the newly elected Rujumbura County Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) leaders to work as a team, develop good plans that can transform their areas.
Those elected to head Rujumbura County (UMSC) include Iddi Maisho as Chairperson, Yasin Katurebe as Secretary , Habibu Karekura as Treasurer , Asaph Banyezaki as Councillor , Musinguzi Araft , Hakimu Orishaba, Wahabu Kasya, Karim Musinguzi and Jamada Lwanga as Committee Members.
In his acceptance remarks Iddi Maisho said that his committee will commit to emphasizing on the education of the muslim children on both formal and religion.
“We are missing out on big government and political positions because we failed to educate our children; we focused on Islam so it is high time we educate them so that we share on the cake of big government positions”. He said
He added that they will work for the development of Islam in Rujumbura County. He asked the Muslim community to open up and work with other religions in order to develop.
