KANUNGU FAMILY COMMITTED TO HIGH COURT OVER MURDER OF MOTHER

Kanungu grade one magistrate’s court has committed to the high court suspects in the murder of Margret Mugisha of Ibarya cell, Kihanda parish, Kirima Sub County, Kanungu district.
Court presided over by Kanungu grade one magistrate his worship Andre Katurubuki committed to the high court, the deceased’s biological children Yona Ngorogoza, Herbert Musinguzi, Jolly Asiimwe, Sara Komuhangi a daughter in law and Seezi Byabasheija alias Tumwekwase who accepted to have carried the murder.

Prosecution alleged that on 22 February 2019, the accused murdered Margret Mugisha with whom they had long standing land wrangles among other disputes.
However the same court on the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions acquitted two suspects Rogers Aryeija Frank and Phiona Amutuheire after finding out that evidence before court did not pin them to the murder.
