PORTER MURDERED IN KANUNGU

IN KANUNGU—-
Police in Kanungu are investigating circumstances under which
52 years old man was murdered by unknown assailants.
The deceased is Gideon Tugume from Nyarugunda cell Nyarugunda parish
Kambuga sub county Kanungu district.
The deceased was murdered yesterday at unknown time from Nyarugunda
cell in his banana plantation.
It’s alleged that Prossy Arinaitwe of the same village had given him
work to collect  her potato vines. However yesterday morning when she
went to check on him only to find a dead body in the banana plantation
thereby making alarm that attracted other people.
The Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate says that police
visited a scene, the body was taken to Kambuga hospital for postmortem
and the hunt for assailants is ongoing.
Maate is however calling on the public to always report their
grievances to police to be solved amicably.
