In Bushenyi
Residents of Kishenyi in Ishaka Division, Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality are bitter with their leaders over garbage that has threatened their lives and businesses.
Some of the residents who talked to www.mknewslink.com yesterday Friday 3rd 2020 said that the garbage has become a big threat in the area as it worries both customers and business owners.
Kisenyi is well known as a place where most food vendors in Ishaka especially on town streets prepare their food from.
Residents who never wanted their names to be revealed to the public said the division leaders have neglected them and are now in worry that they might even contract some diseases including cholera and diarrhea.
Deus Mukyenga, the Ishaka division chairperson said as leaders, they have tried to do the needful to solve the issue of garbage in Ishaka division.
He however, said some of the residents have failed to follow the guidelines put by the division authorities as far as garbage collection is concerned.
Our efforts to talk to the mayor were futile.
