The Bishop of Kabale diocese Rt Rev Callistus Rubaramira has asked Catholics in Kabale diocese to always fast and recite the rosary on a daily basis asking Mother Mary to intervene for Her church against the coronavirus pandemic.
The Bishop made the call in his printed Easter message of which our reporter has a copy.
Bishop Rubaramira said that as COVID 19 continues to spread all over the world, believers should be hopeful that the Virgin Mary is the mother of church and therefore has control and authority over all that happens to His church.
He added that believers should therefore continue to call for Intercession through daily devotion by reciting the rosary so that God protects His mankind against this COVID 19 pandemic.
Bishop Rubaramira also noted that families are the first church and therefore Catholics should continue praying together as family members to call for God’s intervention but observe social distance as a way of reducing the risks of the spread of the COVID 19 pandemic.
The Bishop also asked Christians to embrace sharing with one other especially in this coronavirus era, help the needy and support church leaders especially priests and nuns who serve voluntarily.
Similarly, preaching during yesterday’s Holy Thursday mass at Rushoroza Cathedral in Kabale municipality, Rev Fr Cleophas Mugabe a curate at Rushoroza cathedral parish asked Christians to use this holy week to shun their sinful natures, love one another and stop doubting God as they pray for His provision and guidance.
