Bishop of Kinkiizi Diocese; Rt.Rev.Dan Zoreka has revealed that middle income 2020 is still a dream since Ugandans are still dying of hunger.
Zoreka said this on Sunday while delivering food reliefs to hungry families in Kanungu district.
The bishop challenged government to fight climate change through using irrigation scheme in a measure to save lives of Ugandans who are starving to death due to lack of food.
He said unless food security in Uganda is improved, middle income will remain a dream to Ugandans.
Over 3,000 faemilies in Kinkiizi diocese, Kanungu district received the food reliefs.
Kanungu district has been tussling out with famine since early this year a result of long spell of drought that left a number of people and animals dead.
The district chairperson Josephine Katsya is calling for more food donations before the situation becomes worse.
