CHAOS AT KABALE STADIUM AS BAGAMUHUNDA IS DECLARED DISTRICT LCV YOUTH COUNCILOR

There was chaos at Kabale municipal stadium on Sunday when Bagamuhunda Ronald was declared the winner for the district LCV youth councilor in the NRM party primaries.

Ronald Bagumuhunda garnered 32 votes defeating his rival Agaba Edwin Barrack who garnered no vote after his supporters boycotted the polling station citing irregularities and fake registers owned by the Kabale district NRM Party Registrar, Maurice Keitaba. 

However, hours before announcing the winners, chaos erupted in Kabale municipal stadium after the Kabale District NRM Party Registrar, Maurice Keitaba and his NRM officials, declined to display the register of those who were supposed to vote where voting process on side of Barrack didn’t take place. 

Barrack accused Bagamuhunda of using fake voters and duplicate registers of youths who are not even in NRM structures.

He requested the voting process to be halted until the matter is settled and also asked the register to be displayed so voters can witness their names.

Barrack noted that he was surprised when the LCIII chairperson central division Sam Arineitwe voted for his opponent Bagamuhunda claiming that he’s from Buhara Sub County.

Keitaba rejected Barrack’s demands, saying he has no right to order the party commission officials on what to do.

Barrack’s supporters ,Turyomurugyendo Christmas the outgoing LCIII youth chairperson  Kitumba sub county , Arinaitwe Emmy the Kitumba sub county district councilor and George Saturday Kakwenza, the Kabale district male youth chairperson fault Keitaba for declining to share with the youths a detailed register.

Keitaba responded by declaring Bagamuhunda as winner in presence of the police under the Command of Brian Ampere, the Kabale District Police Commander and he ordered his opponent to petition if he is not satisfied with the results.
