LOYAL NRM CADRE PROF.KABWEGYERE TO CONTEST AS INDEPENDENT PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE FOR IGARA WEST

The former minister of general duties in the office of the prime minister Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere Bazaana has discarded his cadre ship to NRM and decided to stand as independent.

Kabwegyere has lost NRM primaries twice; to Magyezi in 2010, 2015 but never stood as independent though he did not accept results.

He never run as independent on the two times because of his loyalty to the party but he says that this time around, he does not agree with the way primaries were conducted most especially ignoring the register.

Prof. Kabwegeyere told www.mknewslink.com managing editor in an exclusive interview today 3^rd Oct. that he has already picked nomination forms to contest against Mbwatekamwa adding that he will be nominated on either 10^th or 11^th Oct.2020.

Prof. Kabwegyere was a Member of Parliament for 10 years from 2001 to 2011 as well as a minister in different portfolios. He made contributions in schools, churches and mosques.

He also represented Igara West in constituency assembly as a part of people who made the constitution in 1995.

He has been loyal to NRM and president Museveni since he came into power in 1986.
