DARE USE GOV’T COWS TO PAY YOUR SONS’ BRIDE PRICE, PRISON AWAITS YOU—SHEEMA LEADERS WARN BENEFICIARIES

RDC Sheema district Frank Kyerere has warned government poverty eradication projects beneficiaries against misusing things given to them.

He vowed that this time around, he is ready to deal with them adding that some of them may end up being arrested.

Kyerere said all these at Sheema district headquarters in Sheema municipality when the women council and women league representatives were receiving cows from the president of Uganda in partnership with Operation Wealth Creation OWC.

He said that it is true the cows belong to them (beneficiaries) adding that but as government, they will be supervising, and if any one sells it without informing them (government), he will have shot in his own foot.

He added that the veterinary doctor will be available at no cost however they will be paying for drugs themselves.

The Chief Administration Officer Sheema district Davis Beyeza said that they should not use these cows to pay dowry for their sons but they should utilize them to improve their diet and home incomes.

Sheema district woman MP Hon Jacklet Rwabukurukuru one of the women who received cows thanked the government of Uganda and Operation Wealth Creation team for the work done.

She encouraged the women to participate in agriculture and told them to utilise the wastes for manure as she gave them hoes to develop themselves.
