RUBANDA NRM CHAIRMAN MUSASIZI ACCUSED OF REFUSING TO REFUND FLAG BEARERS’ NOMINATION FEES

The Rubanda district NRM chairman Henry Ariganyira Musasizi is on spot for refusing to refund NRM flag bearers over political differences

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretariat started refunding nomination fees to its party flag bearers on various political seats.

According to sources at the Kyadondo Road based Secretariat, the party is reimbursing their parliamentary flag bearers with Shs2m which they paid as nomination fees during the party primaries. This means that even local council representatives will be refunded with their nomination fees.

Now three Rubanda district flag bearers claim that Musasisiza the district NRM chairman who doubles as the Rubanda east legislator and NRM flag bearer yesterday refused to refund them accusing them of supporting his contender Kenneth Jogo.  

The three are Drake Diaz Owoyesigire the councilor LCV flag bearer Hamuhambo town council, Aggrey Bandebaho the Hamuhambo town council mayor flag bearer and Windom Niwamanya the LC III council flag bearer Muyanje parish.

Drake Diaz Owoyesigire said it’s a shame that they were denied their facilitation yet they are also flag bearers like others.

Owoyesigire claimed that the reason why they were denied the money is because they said the truth that they support Musasizi in abroad day light.

Owoyesigire added that Musasizi is the one who taught them that a flag bearer can support an independent because Musasizi himself supported and funded Ampeire Steven Kasyaba in during 2016 Rubanda district chairmanship elections yet Biryabarema was the flag bearer and Kasyaba was independent.

The angry Aggrey Bandebaho Hamuhambo mayor flag bearer said that if Musasizi is running bankrupt, he should organize a fundraising and people contribute for him.

When our reporter tried to reach Musasizi on a phone call on the same matter he refuted to pick his calls.
