KANUNGU RESIDENTS WELCOME THEIR NEW DEPUTY RDC GAD RUGAJU

Kanungu residents have received their new Deputy Resident District Commissioner Gad Ahimbisibwe Rugaju.

Gad Rugaju was in the January RDC and deputy RDC reshuffle assigned by the president to replace Emmy Ngabirano who was promoted into an RDC and transferred to Apac district.

Rugaju was welcomed by the RDC Hajji Shafiq Sengooba Sekandi at his office in Kihiihi town council Kanungu district.

Hajji Sekandi warned him against involving himself in selfish agendas but rather help to monitor government programs in the district.

Sekandi elaborated the roles and responsibility of the office of the RDC adding that it is nonpartisan and works for every individual irrespective of the political affiliation.

The new Deputy RDC Gad Rugaju expressed confidence in that he does not expect many challenges in his new office since his roles are well stipulated in the Constitution.

He pledged to work with other stakeholders so that the people of Kanungu district get the social services they deserve.
