In Bushenyi—
Residents of Bushenyi and other areas have accused the Bushenyi district service commission headed by Lydia Rwakishaya of taking bribes massively from job applicants unlike before.
According to credible sources who intimated to www.mknewslink.com managing editor , Rwakishaya led service commission takes bribes from job seekers secretly and those bribes are received from one of the hotels in Bushenyi town (names withheld ) where Rwakishaya usually sits.
The sources say that Rwakishaya’s commission has lost credibility to the extent of giving jobs to relatives, sons and daughters of the members of the commission.
www.mknewslink.com tried to contact Rwakishaya on phone but she made the phone busy for three times.
Three members of the commission; Rwakishaya, Eng. Behangana and Julius Nshungisa are serving their last term remaining with one year to complete while the other two still have time.
It was a tag of war for the three to retain their seats because the district chairman Jaffari Bassajabalaba had already named his own commission to replace Rwakishaya’s but civil society led by Apollo Lee Kakonge went to court and secured a win which allowed the three to complete their second term.
www.mknewslink.com has interviewed many job applicants who have paid and got jobs while others have paid and not got jobs moreover without a refund.
One of the members of the civil society who fought hard to ensure that the commission gets a mandate to serve its second term once wrote on Facebook that he is aware that the Bushenyi district service commission has turned corrupt because it advertises jobs and gives them out before interviews .
