RWAMPARA MISSING TODDLER FOUND MURDERED

The body of a toddler who went missing last week in Rwampara has finally been found.
According to Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police mouth piece the toddler was yesterday 03rd.March.2021 recovered dead in stream of water at about 500meters from their home.
ASP Kasasira told www.mknewslink.com that the body had some signs of torture likely to have happened before he died and he attributed the child’s death to some conflicts within the family.
Postmortem was done and body handed over to the relatives for burial arrangements as investigations into the gruesome murder continue.
Leviticus Akatujuna one and half year old son to Ivan Besigye a resident of Rwamuhurura cell Kamomo parish Bugamba subcounty Rwampara District was reported missing from his parents’ home last week.
According to Akanjuna’s mother Monic Katusiime, he was in the compound playing on 21st Feb.2021 while she prepared lunch in the kitchen but could not trace him minutes later.
She told www.mknewslink.com that they continued with the search until 22nd Feb.2021 when the father reported to Bugamba police station.
Rwizi Region police mouthpiece ASP Samson Kasasira said that they visited the scene and conducted searches but no evidence was recovered.
Kasasira added that the victim’s home is by the road side suspecting that the child could have moved to the road where wrong people picked him.
