MASINDI SACCO RESURRECTS AFTER TWO YEARS OF SLUMBER

Masindi SACCO which has been dormant for the last two years has finally been resurrected.
This followed an emergency meeting after the SACCO chairperson resigned claiming that he was overwhelmed by roles to play.
Since members who have not been able to access their savings yesterday afternoon held emergency annual meeting at Masindi District Hall, and elected new board members.
The new board members elected include; Ibrahim Nassur the chairperson, Okise Patrick the Treasurer, Musinguzi Charles the Secretary, and members include; Oliver Mahebo, James Mugoya, Godfrey Bahemuka, Prudence Alituha.
Ibrahim Nassur the chairperson elect pledged to implement on the visions, and missions of the SACCO adding that he will trace the members’ savings so that they can benefit.
Moses Kalyegira the District Commercial Officer Masindi asked the elected board members to perform their roles for the development of the SACCO.
“I encourage the members who had quitted the SACCO to rejoin because new board members have been elected,” He added.
Kalyegira also encouraged the members to make use of the SACCO by saving and borrowing money instead of getting loans from the bank noting that the SACCO has low interest.
Masindi SACCO had over 300 members, but the number has since reduced following the resignation of the chairperson, according to Kalyegira
