RUBANDA BODA BODA CYCLIST DIES OF ASSAULT INJURIES AFTER MOB BEAT HIM OVER ATTEMPTED RAPE

Police in Rubanda district are investigating circumstances under which a boda boda cyclist was murdered.

The deceased  identified as Akankwasa Bruce 20, resident of Kitumbezi cell, Eastern ward, Bubare Town Council in Rubanda District.

According Elly  Maate the Kigezi Regional Mouthpiece the deceased was assaulted by mob after suspecting him of attempting to defile a 16 year old girl a pupil of same area.

Maate disclosed that Akankwasa was assaulted on Tuesday 4th May 2021 at around 6:00pm and was later on rushed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital where he died.

The PRO says that Police visited the scene, did postmortem and no suspect has been arrested yet.

The case was registered at Kabale Central Police Station under Reference number CRB 198/2021.
