MBARARA SENIOR POLICE OFFICER FOUND DEAD IN BARRACKS

Mbarara police officer in Charge of Fire Prevention and rescue services Assistant Inspector of Police-AIP Fred Serwanga has been found dead.
AIP Serwanga was on Saturday morning found in his bed dead, according to Rwizi Regional Police Commander Richard Ecega.
“We were together yesterday evening looking healthy but this morning as we prepared to go for a road run he never turned up,” Ecenga noted.
He says they had issues to sort with him but he never turned up at the office the reason they decided to check at home.
He narrated that they found the door was still locked, and decided to see through a window only to find him lying on the bed.
He said that the deceased has been suffering from diabetes and pressure which they suspect to have claimed his life.
The body has however been taken to the mortuary for postmortem as they wait for the family members.
Serwanga will be buried in his ancestral home in Kyabakuza Masaka
AIP Serwanga was born 1969 in Masaka district, joined Police in 1989. Serwanga was deployed at the fire Headquarters in Kampala, later transferred to Wakiso district in Bweyogerere police station and moved to Mbarara where he has spent most of his service time.
