COVID 19: RUKUNGIRI DISTRICT REGISTERS 5 CASES IN ONE DAY

Rukungiri district has registered 5 cases of COVID 19 within one day.
The cases were confirmed by the Rukungiri District Resident Commissioner (RDC) Mr. Nsubuga Bewayo Stephen who is also the taskforce chairman, during a meeting held at district council meeting.
Nsubuga told www.mknewslink.com reporter that the results are part of ten samples taken from Kalori Lwanga Hospital Nyakibale.
The five bring the total number of patients in the district to ten since the outbreak of the second wave.
RDC Bewayo encourages the public to continue adhering to COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures like social distancing, wearing of face masks, and regular hand wash among other guidelines if the scourge is to be dealt with.
In the same meeting, it was resolved that people should not exceed 10am at any burial and no tents or discos will be allowed at such functions.
The meeting also resolved that effective Thursday June 10th June 2021; security will be deployed at every border point of the district to stop people from leaving or entering the district.
