FORMER MINISTER MANZI SUCCUMBS TO COVID 19

Former Minister of State for privatization Manzi Tumubweine has gone to be with the Lord.

Information from Case clinic indicates that the former legislator for Rukiga county died of COVID19.

The former Ugandan Premier Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda Ndugu eulogized Tumubweine as someone who served Ugandans with distinctions in many capacities during his time on Earth.

Former Prime Minister Dr. Rugunda narrated that he received very sad news of the death of Hon Manzi Tumubweinee, a comrade and leader of integrity who has served Uganda and Government with distinction in many capacities.

“My thoughts are with his family during this difficult period of grief,” he noted.

Manzi Tumubweine who also served as the National Gaming Board chairperson was sometimes back kicked out of that office for yet unknown reasons.

Sources at Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development refused to renew his contract for among others overstaying and allegedly causing intrigue at the board.
