MBARARA FALLEN VETERAN JOURNALIST BASIIME LAID TO REST IN KAKOBA

Veteran Journalist Felix Basiime who succumbed to COVID 19 yesterday 18th.June.2021 has been laid to rest.

The burial of the  fallen Journalist Basiime is  underway at his home in Kakoba , Mbarara city.

The 58 year old father of four died yesterday morning at Mbarara Regional referral hospital where he had been admitted for days with covid 19 symptoms.

The deceased reporting primarily focused on environmental issues and tourism with an emphasis on oil and gas.

He served as Monitor publication limited’s bureau chief in Mbarara city and Fort portal, won multiple awards and his reporting was recognized by National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO).

Basiime nurtured many young journalists especially in the western part of Uganda.
