SHEEMA: UNKNOWN ASSAILANTS HACK MAN TO DEATH

Police in Sheema district are hunting for unknown assailants who hacked a 45 year old man to death last night.

The deceased has been identified as Geoffrey Kansiime a resident of Kabutsye 2 cell, Kabutsye ward, Masheruka Town council Sheema District.

According to OC CID Sheema, Akong Bibian the deceased was yesterday at around 7:30pm found lying unconscious with deep cuts.

Akong said Kansiime was rushed to Kigarama health center and later referred to Kabwohe health center IV where he died.

Residents told police that before his death, he was seen drunk and lying beside the road to his home but were shocked to find out that unknown people later came and cut him several times.

Bibian revealed that no suspect has been arrested but inquiries have been opened to investigate the matter.
