NUP’S FORMER MP ASPIRANT STEALS YOUTH LIVELIHOOD CASH

Authorities in Bugiri district are investigating former Bukooli north Member of Parliament aspirant Jamali Ayagalachi who allegedly disappeared with Youth livelihood group money totaling to 9 Million shillings.
According to sources, Ayagalachi was the chairperson of Ndifakulya Photo studio digital lab a youth group in Bugiri municipality.
The group had applied for 9,000, 000/= as youth livelihood fund and the Money was subsequently wired to the group accounts.
It is alleged that Ayagalachi as the chairperson of the group withdrew all the money from the group accounts and disappeared into thin air.
He was reported to have re-appeared during the last general elections as NUP parliamentary candidate for Bukooli north in Bugiri district.
However, he was thoroughly defeated by the NRM Candidate Baka Mugabi Stephen.
He is currently a NUP youth mobilizer for eastern region and a regular Panelist on one of the local radio stations Eastern Voice.
“What hurts us most as a group and youth is that Jamali on several occasions uses the radio talk shows to mobilize us against the Government and the president that he has not helped the youths yet he (Ayagalachi) stole our money government gave us to support us,” one of the youths lamented.
Ayagalachi was the group leader of the youth who burnt tyres in Bugiri Town when Bobi Wine was arrested in Luuka district for floating the Ministry of health guidelines against COVID 19.
