In Bushenyi—
Bishop Ogez secondary school head teacher Deusdit Kabigumira has been implicated in a robbery that took place at school during the weekend.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the school head teacher was part of the racket that stole money from the school.
The robbery followed a school visitation which took place on Saturday 5th March 2022 after which the money was kept at school instead of being deposited in the bank.
When contacted on the matter, the head teacher was non-committal and accused the media of writing only negative news advising www.mknewslink.com managing editor to continue and write whatever he wanted.
Bushenyi police PRO SP Martial Tumusiime told www.mknewslink.com that during the robbery, a security guard one Kamuhanda was severally injured and he is admitted at Mbarara regional referral hospital.
Bushenyi DPC Johnbosco Serungoji said that report in the matter will be released by next week but he suspects a lot of conspiracy from school administration.
Schools no longer keep money in their premises and one would wonder what cash was doing in the school while parents are advised to bank their children’s fees using bank slips or through mobile banking.
