Kabarole district leaders have intensified efforts to influence the formation of the new Bunyangabu district as this will open job opportunities for many people in Toro region.w
www.mknewslink.com understands that councilors are engaging stake holders to ensure smooth running of the new district once it is curved out of Kabarole of which they expect to bring services closer to the ordnary people of Bunyangabo.
During the hand over of the outgoing Kabarole Chief Administrative officer that took place at the district headquarters, local leaders led by Richard Rwabuhinga the Kabarole district chairperson urged that the creation of Bunyangabu district would mean better services delivered to the public.
Last year, Parliament approved the creation of new administrative units including districts, municipalities, town councils and town boards.
The districts created include: Kagadi, Kakumiro, Omoro and Rubanda which became operational effective July 1, 2016; Namisindwa, Pakwach, Butebo, Rukiga, Kyotera and Bunyangabu – to commence operations on July 1, 2017.
