FOUR KILLED IN KISORO FLOODS

In Kisoro–

River Ruhezamwenda the longest river in Kisoro district has burst its
banks, killing four people.

Houses, roads and crops were also destroyed by the same river as a
result of heavy rains. www.mknewslink.com can confirm.
Tereza Nyirabakyenga; one of the victims was attending her gardens just
next Kamiro swamp in Bukimbiri Sub County when the river burst its
banks hence causing serious floods. Her body was recovered the next
day and later buried in Rugarambiro village

Residents identified the other deceased persons as Confidence Tumukurate(2 years) and Flavia Kemigisha (4years) children of Gerald
Twinomugisha of Footo village in Nyakabande Sub County

Richard Mugisha; a resident in Rugarambiro village told www.mknewslink.com that five other people are missing while nine admitted at Mutolere hospital and
Iremere health centre 111 as well.

Pricilla Ndayahoze; a survivor said she got trapped by the violent
water as she tried to save her colleague Tereza Nyirabakyenga (deceased)but was so lucky when some men were able to rescue her.
