30 RUHINDA SS STUDENTS HELD OVER RIOT

Police in Mitooma district is holding 30 students of Ruhinda secondary School and still hunting for others for allegedly staging a strike last night
The strike led to the destruction of all window glasses and wood shelters.
According to Yesiime Arthur the Ruhinda secondary School Headteacher, the incident occurred last night at around midnight when a section of S4 students mobilised their collegue to stage a strike without informing the administration about their grievances.
The irate student broke all window glasses , doors and some wooden shelters in the school according to Yesiime.
He added that the teachers who stay with in the school informed him about the incident and he in turn police to calm the situation.
However some of the Ruhinda secondary School students who talked to our reporter on condition of anonymity noted that their riot resulted from spoilt and smelly beans that were served to students last evening in addition to the brutal and harsh treatment meted out to them by of one of the school askaris.
Samuel Olumu the Mitooma District Police Commander condemned the riot and noted that they will cooperate with the administration to hunt down all the suspects so the they are worked on according to the law.
