MASINDI MAN RAMS INTO STATIONARY TRUCK, DIES ON SPOT

A motor cyclist has died on the spot in Masindi district after ramming into a stationary truck
The deceased has been identified as Rogers Mutegeki, a resident of Kitonozi village in Rukondwa Parish Bujenje Constituency Masindi district.
Mutegeki who was riding a motorcycle rammed into the stationary fuso truck lorry registration number UBK 850Z and died on spot.
The regrettable incident happened on Monday at around 10pm along Masindi – Hoima road a few kilometres from Masindi town.
According to the deceased’s relative who preferred anonymity, his brother was traveling from Kitonozi to Kirasa cell in Central Division Masindi Municipality.
‘’He rammed into the stationary Kinyara Sugar Ltd truck near Katesenywa trading, and died on spot. He was evacuated by police to Masindi hospital mortuary,’’ he explained.
Ms. Carolyn Amongin the Corporate Communications Manager Kinyara Sugar Ltd said that the alleged fuso lorry truck doesn’t belong to Kinyara Sugar Ltd.
‘’I have contacted the officer in charge of traffic police, that truck doesn’t belong to our company,’’ she dismissed.
Julius Allan Hakiza, Albertine region police spokesperson said such an incident has been submitted to his office.
‘’I haven’t got such information, let me find out, I will get back to you,’’ he said.
