HERO’S WELCOME FOR IBANDA BISHOP ELECT, TO BE CONSECRATED ON 1.10.2017

Rev. Canon Amos Magezi; the Bishop elect for North West Ankole diocese has asked Christians to join hands with him to serve the new diocese which has been curved out Ankole diocese so that they can work as a united team with one heart after his consecration which will take place at St. Paul‘s cathedral on 01.10.2017.
Rev. Can. Magezi who has been serving as provincial secretary for church of Uganda told the Christians that he is ready to promote love and unity in the new diocese for better social services.
He was speaking to thousands of Christians who thronged St. Paul parish church of Uganda in Ibanda municipal yesterday to welcome him together with his wife; Canon Jean Magezi. He arrived at 3.30Pm and was welcomed by jubilant people.
A large crowd of happy Christians and well wishers who drove in a motorcade that paralyzed business in Igorora town council ,Nyabuhikye town and Ibanda municipal welcomed the Bishop elect at Nkondo border 17Km away along Mbarara –Ibanda high way.
Rev. Can. Magezi yesterday stepped into the new diocese for the first time after the House of Bishops in Kampala appointed him.
He promised to work with the people as a team to develop the new diocese.
www.mknewslink has learnt that over 23 bishops of Anglican faith have confirmed to attend Bishop Magezi’s concretion ceremony which will be presided over by His grace the Archbishop of Church of Uganda Stanley Ntagali.
