In Bushenyi—-
A radio presenter in Bushenyi has been dragged to police over negative utterances she made on social media about Bushenyi day care and nursery school in Kitookye village, Bushenyi town.
According to the owner of the school, Ms. Katabazi Sabano, she has never chained children and beaten them as alleged by Ms. Moreen Tusingwire.
She said she is a mother and single one at that, she has brought up her children very well therefore there is no way she can chain other mothers’ children.
She noted that her school has produced lawyers, doctors, engineers etc and all parents are very happy therefore Ms. Tusingwire’s information should be treated with contempt because it only intends to tarnish the image of the school which she has worked so hard to earn.
The computer misuse act has been amended 2022 punishes people who spread propaganda information on social media intended to overlook the image of the complainant.
The law was passed by parliament last month, taken to the president who approved thus online abusers will face it rough when the law is implemented to weed out online drunkards, idlers etc.
Ms. Kataabazi noted that she knows the mother of the accused as she used to trade in the market wondering why the daughter would utter such baseless rumors.
She told www.mknewslink.com that she only needs an apology from the accused and be circulated to all social media groups where the original one was put.
Police in Bushenyi is investigating the matter while Ms. Katabaazi’s lawyer counsel Paul Tusubira is on standby in case of a court case.
