TWO ARRESTED OVER MURDER IN KISORO DISTRICT

Police in Kisoro district is currently holding two suspects on allegations of murdering a 66-year-Old Man as he was coming from the bar in Kyogo village Kagunga parish Bukimbiri sub-county.

The deceased identified as Jack Tukahirwa, a resident of Kyogo village Kagunga parish Bukimbiri sub-county Kisoro district.

Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that it’s alleged that on Sunday,30/04/2023 at around 09:30pm the deceased left the bar of Tukacungurwa Fred and on his way home, he was attacked by assailants who cut him to death.

Maate added that yesterday morning 01/04/2023 at around 06:30am, the deceased grandson identified as Turyamureba Gordon found Jack Tukahirwa’s body lying in a pool of blood and informed relatives who later informed police.

Police visited the scene and processed while two suspects were arrested to help in investigations.

A postmortem was done at Kisoro Hospital, and the body was handed over to the relatives for burial.
