HON. KAROORO LAUNCHES TWETAMBIIRE SCHEME IN BUSHENYI

The senior presidential advisor on media and public affairs in state house Hon. Mary Karooro Okurut has launched a local health insurance scheme/Twetambiire.

The function took place today 4th may 2023 in Katungu Bushenyi town at reusable female pads factory under construction in the same area.

Hon. Karooro noted that many people have died because of treatable diseases which can be reversed by her initiative.

She added that when a person is sick in the community instead of Mwezikye associations treating him or her they concentrate on the burial.

She revealed that through Karooro Okurut foundation she will concentrate on sensitizing the public on how to save lives rather than concentrating on expensive burials.

However, Hon. Karooro is a former minister in different portfolios and a former woman member of parliament for Bushenyi district.

Despite the fact that she’s not in parliament she has continued to help people to access services and live descent lives.
