Forum for Democratic Change President Patrick Amuriat Oboi has re-affirmed that the October 6th 2023 delegate’s conference will be held and voting for party leaders will happen despite the factions in the FDC Party.
While addressing the press this week evening at Eka hotel in Hoima city, POA says democratic means should be used to change the leadership in the FDC party adding that whoever is dividing FDC is not on the mission of changing the leadership in Uganda.
He says besides the ups and downs in the party, Fdc is one, calling upon what he termed as the interim leadership in the FDC to come back in their normal senses.
POA added that, the recent elected leaders in different districts are the qualified delegates that will vote on 6th October 2023 together with their secretaries, members of parliament, mayors as stipulated in the FDC constitution adding that all what was discussed and passed in the recent extra ordinary delegates conference is null and void.
Robert Centenary the former Kasese Municipality MP has disclosed that, they don’t take delegates for granted saying they have convinced them enough, encouraging the newly elected leaders to come and participate in the meeting adding that the decision on whom to choose on that day lies in their hands.
