MBARARA CITY BUSNESSMAN MURDERED, WIFE AND SON ARRESTED

Mbarara City police are holding two suspects following the death of Mukiibi Abdul, alias Murefu, a local businessman in the area who was discovered dead at his home in Kamukuzi Ward on Tuesday.

Family sources suggest the businessman, who hails from Rubaare town council in Ntungamo District, was likely strangled.

 In response, police have arrested his wife and son to assist in uncovering the truth.

SP Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region police spokesperson, confirmed the ongoing investigation but refrained from disclosing the suspects’ identities, citing the need to protect the integrity of the case.

The late Mukiibi Abdul was laid to rest on Wednesday at  his ancestral home in Rubaare, Ntungamo District.
