Following the official release of the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations results by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, the school administration at Ruyonza Secondary School in Bushenyi district is in celebratory mood after the results showed that all their students who sat for the examinations passed with flying colours, and are all eligible to attain a UCE certificate.
When this publication visited the school which is located a few kilo meters outside Bushenyi town, the school head teacher could not hind his excitement but kept om thanking God for the School’s performance in addition to his teachers’ and students hard work, before, during and after the examinations.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com , the head teacher said; “All our students have performed very well and have impressed all of us. I want to take this opportunity to thank God for the 2024 results. It was the first class in the lower secondary curriculum. We sat 115 learners and all of them have scored result one which makes all of them to qualify to join A’level and other higher institutions of learning.”
He added: “I want to take this opportunity to thank all our managing committees, our teachers and more especially our staff.”
He explained that out of the 46 teachers working at the school, 12 of them are UNEB scorers or examiners in simple terms. According to him, the 12 have been very instrumental in drilling the learners to make sure that they perform to their best.
He thanked parents and guardians for entrusting them with their students all calls upon parents to give the school more students. Currently, the school has a population of 816 students who have so far reported for the first term and asks parents to rush and register students who wish to join their 2025 senior five (S5) class.
The current deputy speaker of the Ugandan parliament, the Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa is one of the notable figures who studied at Ruyonza Secondary School in Bushenyi district.
