BUNYORO KING NAMES BABIES AT KAKUMIRO HEALTH CENTRE IV

The king of Bunyoro Kitara kingdom, Solomon Gafabusa Iguru, has named
three kids at Kakumiro health centre IV in Kakumiro district.
Iguru performed the function while going to launch the CNOOC amsaza
cup organized by CNOOC Uganda limited at Kaumiro primary school on Thursday evening.
Before reaching Kakumiro primary school playground, he made a
stopover at the health facility and named the kids who were born that
night. The two baby boys were named Kamukama Solomon and the baby girl was named Margareta Karungi.
He also donated mosquito nets to mothers who were in the maternity
ward by that time.
In his speech, Solomon Iguru thanked the health workers of Kakumiro
health Centre IV for not joining the ongoing Doctors’ strike.
He urged the doctors not to punish the innocent people saying that the
ongoing strike has left many people dead and others suffering hence
calling upon the medics to use amicable ways to solve their empathy.
Robert Ssenteza, the acting District health officer Kakumiri district,used the same opportunity and demanded for the expansion of Kakumiro
health centre IV and the establishment of staff quarters noting that
the absence of staff quarters affects the quick response to the
emergencies at night.
King Solomon also launched CNOOC Amasaza cup where all counties of the seven districts in Bunyoro will participate.100 million shillings have been injected in by CNOOC Uganda limited an oil exploration company in Bunyoro to drive the activity.
According to Aminah Bukenya, the communication supervisor, CNNOC
Uganda limited, 15 teams will participate in the tournament adding
that they are supporting the tournament with the aim of advancing the
glory and culture of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom through sports in the
region.
