THREE MEN EXPELLED FROM ISHAKA OVER HOMOSEXUALITY ACTS
The suspects are Justus Turyamureba, a resident of Kashenshero Mitoma district, Vereriano Bakandonda, a resident of Ruti cell WardII Nyamitanga Division Mbarara Municipality, and Gerald Kamugisha, a resident of Kihanga cell Kitagata Kasana Mitooma district.
During an abrupt community gathering held at Kanyamabona primary school Kashenyi trading centre, the villagers have said they do not want those people to stay living in one village with them.
The angry residents, who comprised mostly the women, vowed to take the law into their own hands and swore to set alight the premises if they continued living there and doing business.
According to Deus Mucenga the local council chairperson three Ishaka Division, they have made a resolution that they should go by tomorrow Mid-day.
The suspects have forcefully agreed to leave after being convinced by police led by the Ishaka ploice Station Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police Steven Kamaar together with GISO and CID that the situation was volatile and their life was in danger as the residents have made it clear that he was no longer wanted in the area.
Kamaar has made it clear that the gathering of residents of the village was organized by the authorities in order to somehow legitimize illegal and unlawful actions.
He has asked local chairpersons to put into use police neighbourhood watch form and register every person that comes within their localities.
