UPDF DEPLOYS ON LAKE ALBERT OVER ADF

Stanley Malisaba, the public Relations Officer, Field Artillery Division Masindi, has confirmed that there enemy threats from Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) along Lake Albert in the western part of Uganda.
Speaking to Journalists in his office today, Malisaba noted that UPDF fought the Allied Democratic Forces and they ran to Congo and Central Africa Republic adding that they followed them and diminished but there a few elements remained.
He added that those who remained are a threat to the people of western Uganda and they are getting information that they seem to be regrouping.
Malisaba added that when they got information that they are regrouping, as UPDF authorities decided to deploy soldiers along Lake Albert to manage security for the people.
He also explained that they cannot sit and take such threats for granted since there role as UPDF is to keep the security of the people and the property.
Malisaba called upon the people along Lake Albert to remain calm noting that for them their not there to attack but to provide the people with security. He also warned the public to avail enough information to the security agencies such that the bad doers can be apprehended easily.
Malisaba declined to explain when the deployment started saying that they cannot reveal it to the media.
