In Bushenyi–
Both clergy and Christians in West Ankole diocese are disappointed by their new bishop Rt.Rev.Johnson Twinomujuni whom they accuse of being a dictator.
Bishop Twinomujuni last month disappointed everybody when he cancelled an arrangement to confirm hundreds of Christians at Ryakasinga Archdeaconry arguing that they did not answer the questions satisfactorily.
The Christians who had completed their confirmation preparation involving religious education classes went back home disappointed when the bishop told them that they were not qualified to be confirmed into Christianity.
As if it was not enough bishop Twinomujuni demoted Archdeacon Rev.Can.Kamwerinde; to the level of a priest and transferred him from Ryakasinga Archdeaconry to Bumbaire parish.
Bishop Twinomujuni also sent Rev.Can.Yowas Murungi;the Archdeacon of Kyabugimbi into a forced leave; an act that caused panic among the clergy members.
It is alleged that Rev.Can.Murungi was transferred to Rweibaare archdeaconry and when he went to plead with Bishop Twinomujuni arguing that he had some issues with Christians in Rwebaire, the bishop instead gave him a forced leave.
The bishop also made a blunder when he cancelled an arrangement to ordain a good number of priests who had completed a two year course at Katungu Bible College in Bushenyi .
The candidates who had already sold off their property to complete the course, were disappointed when bishop Twinomujuni told them to either go to Bishop McAllister College Kyogyera for a fresher course of two years or go home miserably.
Efforts by www.mknewslink.com managing editor to get a comment from the man of God were futile when his repeatedly phone calls and short messages (sms) went unanswered
Bishop Twinomujuni is not in good terms with media practitioners and to make it worse he closed the communications office at Bweranyangi Cathedral after transferring the communications officer to one of Kabira parishes in Mitooma district.
He some time back attacked Sheikh Abudulatiff; a journalist with TV West when the two met at a function in Kitagata,Sheema district.
The bishop surprised the Christians and passersby when he exchanged scathing words with Sheikh Abudulatiff accusing him of reporting only news of malice.
