PARENTS CURSE GOV’T FOR CLOSING PRIVATE SCHOOLS

Several parents from Kabarole district have condemned the act of the ministry of education to close unlicensed schools at the beginning of the 1st term 2018.
Speaking to our reporter during an exclusive interview, parents said that the government’s decision is unfair to parents.“How can they close private schools while the government aided schools are the worst? Parents charged.
Parents said that majority of government schools have poor facilities like classrooms where as they lack materials like chalk, text books among others.
They further disclosed that though some private schools are not licensed, they have good studying environment that helped children to perform better which is not the case in government aided schools.
Parents further asked the government to have humanity before they act.
Recently the ministry of education issued a directive to all unlicensed schools not to open before they are fully registered.
Yesterday the resident district commissioner Kabarole Asiimwe vowed to close all unregistered schools in the district.
