KILLER GUNS: BUSHENYI BAR ATTACKED WITH GUN

Police in Bushenyi has arrested and detained two men who attacked Tides bar and robbed customers and the bar attendants of unspecified amount of money last night.
The Regional Police commander for Greater Bushenyi; Eddy Serunjogi has confirmed the incident saying the thugs used a hired gun from a Security company to attack the bar at 9:30PM .Tides bar is located Kasese-Mbarara road near the offices of Electoral commission in Bushenyi town.
Serunjogi adds that police responded immediately and chased the thugs until they were arrested still having the gun that had been used in the robbery.
He says investigations into the case are ongoing after which the suspects will be taken to court for trial.
Mean while panga wielding thugs have caused panic in Bushenyi town after attacking a number of people especially business community and robbed them of money.
On Wednesday police rounded up a racked of 10 thugs in Kizinda; near Ishaka town who had been terrorizing the area residents. During the operation one gun was recovered from Kijumo in Ishaka town.
