UGANDA AIRLINE TO BE REVIVED, 129BN ALREADY DISHED

President Museveni has said that feasibility studies and business plan to revive the National Airline. He added that initial payments for the manufacture of aircrafts have already been made.
President Museveni revealed this while delivering the State of Nation Address at Kampala Serena Hotel. He added that Ug shs 129 billion meant for the capitalization of the Airline has already been budgeted in the financial year 2018/2019.
‘‘In the next Financial Year, 129 billion Ug Shillings has been put aside for capitalization of the Airline. The above processes will be continued in the new Financial Year. We hope that the revived National Airlines will boost exports and tourism,’’ said the president.
The President also noted that construction of Hoima Airport has already and that rehabilitation of Entebbe Airport is still under way to boost Air transport which is crucial for promotion according to the President.
On the standard gauge railway, President Museveni noted that 1724 Km railway will be developed.
