BUSHENYI: SUSPECTED CAR THIEF SHOT DEAD BY SECURITY GUARD

Police in Bushenyi are investigating circumstances under which a security guard shot and killed one person last night at Bam petrol station in Kizinda.
Tibeyendera Patrick a security guard attached to Tiger security group shot and killed a person identified as Gumisiriza Kennedy son of
Ahmed Wijahi a resident of Gongo cell in Kyamuhunga.
Its alleged that Gumisiriza was trying to steal car at Bam petrol station registration number UAH 027J Colora 100 belonging to Abaho Rodgers.
According to Shallotte Nankunda, the manager Bam petrol station the
incident occurred at around 3:30am.
SP Mercial Tumusiime Police spokes person Bushenyi said the case was reported on 26th.june.2018 at Kiizinda police station by Tibeyendera Patrick.
Martial added that the Gumisiriza has been a habitual thief who was
recently released from Nyamushekyera government prison in Bushenyi
district.
He however said police have arrested the guard to help them in investigations.
However, Natukunda the manger bam petrol station said that two cars have been stolen from the parking slot. She also asked the police to release their guard.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kitagata hospital for a postmortem.
